On October 4, 2014 Steven G. Pace was involved in a single car accident during which he suffered a stroke and other injuries.  We are saddened to say that though Steve was a steadfast and unwavering individual, he succumbed to his wounds on October 9, 2014. 

 

Steve was a great accountant who faithfully served his clients and the Triad community for over 35 years.  Throughout his tenure, his dedication to professionalism and care for the wellbeing of his clients and staff earned him the respect of all who knew him.  He was a man of many talents, being known as the “Tax Dude”, but he also developed a deep love for fishing, hunting and working in his garden. 

 

Over the years, Steve created a great business and trained a professional and efficient staff.  He took time to train and develop each accountant in order to enable them to operate more independently, allowing Pace Companies Inc. to continue to grow.  He expected nothing but the best and that has enabled us to continually provide great service to our clients in his absence.  Pace Companies Inc. is fully equipped and prepared to assist with your accounting and tax needs.  We are also here to share in your memories of Steve and treasure them with you!

 

As was Steve’s tradition, we have enclosed the 18th Edition of our annual newsletter,

“The PaceSetter”.  We have listed a few of the changes and other information you might find interesting and useful.  Legislators have passed the Extender Bill for many of the credits and tax deductions on December 19, 2014.  The IRS anticipates the filing season to begin as normal.

 

We have tax organizers available to assist you in summarizing your 2014 tax information.  Please call “Julie” if you would like to have an organizer mailed or emailed to you.

 

We are now scheduling appointments with Shannon (Beane) Rich.  She has been preparing individual tax returns for 8 years.  Call as soon as possible to get an appointment time or you can drop off your tax information, whichever works best with your schedule.  Please review the downloadable files above for items you may need to bring to your appointment or to be enclosed with your drop-off information (for example, the non-cash contributions worksheet and the new health insurance verification form).
